March 2005
Monday, March 28, 2005 0:38 AMAnother week, another review. Today's review is for "Teen Titans Go!" Starting on Friday I'll start reviewing manga from CMX, which, as most of you know, is a division of DC Comics. I know I stated in my "Tenjho Tenge" editorial (which, due to CMX's silence, is still valid) that I was questioning whether or not I should review their stuff. I've decided that, for better or worse, I need to review the stuff. It's my job, one that I get fired for if I don't. Yeah, I may be my own boss, but seeing as how other manga review sites aren't really reviewing CMX titles because of the "Tenjho Tenge" controversy, then I guess it's my job to provide those reviews for people who don't care about the controversy, and just want to know if CMX's other series are worth getting. Another thing I should make note of is that my "Review Recomendations" form isn't working at the moment. I've noticed a few people tried to request a couple of series for me to review, and unfortunetly the titles of the series didn't come through. I'll be looking into what's wrong with the code. In the mean time, if you still want to request a review, just send me an e-mail or post the request on the message board. I need more posters there anyway (it's a freaking ghost town I tell you). Other then that though, I guess that's all for today. Hope you all had a Happy Easter. Friday, March 25, 2005 11:46 PMReviews up. Sorry about that guys. Friday, March 25, 2005 0:33 AMSorry guys, just realized I didn't spell check the review. Since I'm too tired right now, come back later tonight or tomarrow for the review. Sorry, hope this never happens again. Friday, March 25, 2005 0:15 AMI'm SO tired right now! Me and my friends got together for a all night "Lord of The Rings" marathon, in which we all decided to watch all three (extended cuts) of the "Lord of The Rings" trilogy in a row. Well, now that I can officially say that I lived that crazy stunt, I can tell you that the idea is a lot more fun then it sounds. Tweelve hours later, we had all had it up to here with orc's and people being tempted by the ring. If I don't ever watch these movies again, I'm going to blame it on this party. I know, I know, I probably will watch these movies again, but right now I have no love for them. This was all made worse by the fact that I had to work an eight hour work shift the following day, and I only got two hours of sleep. I'm grumpy, I'm sleepy, and yet here I am, posting a review for you guys (a positive review none-the-less). I guess you can tell that I love writing for my little site huh? Well, enough of my moaning and complaining. Go read my review for "Othello." Monday, March 21, 2005 11:24 AMIt's nice to be able to wake up and not have to attend college classes today. I've posted my review for "Bleach" for your reading pleasure to say. To say this is one of the shorter reviews I've written in the recent months would be an understatement, but sometimes a series doesn't require a long review. See you guys on Friday with a new review. Friday, March 18, 2005 0:03 AMFor those of you who are getting tired of the manga reviews, I have posted my review of "Garfield at 25: I'd Be Dead In Dog Years." I think I'm starting to love writing for this site a little more everyday. I now have seven reviews written, two editorials, and an interview (which, Guy, I swear I'll post soon) to post. Part of me wants to move to updating three times a week, but unless I get over tweenty reviews stored on my hard-drive, I won't do it. I decided that I may as well store these reviews, seeing as how once you have a creative rush on your hands, once the rush is done you fall into a slump, and the backlog of reviews will help me keep the site updated during this inevitable slump. For now though, expect one review and one editorial a week. Sorry, I HAVE to post the editorials first, otherwise they become outdated! I'm also considering tackling a new subject: Web comics. You heard me: I'm considering reviewing web comics. However, first I want to know whether or not there is any interest in this. So if you want to chime in with your two cents, then take this poll, or e-mail me with your response. I look forward to hearing from you. Monday, March 14, 2005 12:10 PMBecause I am an idiot sometimes, I ended up posting a very rough draft of my new editorial this morning, and the editorial contained tons of spelling error's as well as notes that would only make sense to the author. I have just replaced the editorial with the "corrected" version. Sorry about the mixup. Monday, March 14, 2005 0:20 AMAs promised, I have posted a new editorial in the Editorials section for your reading pleasure. This one is about the whole "Tenjho Tenge" controversy. Hope you enjoy it. In other news, I have finally written enough reviews so that I am ahead of the game. I have three written reviews on my hard drive, and I plan to write two more this week. This means that there shouldn't be any missed updates due to lack of content for awhile. I must admitt that jugling this site along with school projects and work has been a challenge, but it looks like I've finally ajusted to everything now. In fact, if I ajust to this really well, then maybe when summer comes along and I have more time to work on this site...well, maybe I'll write enough reviews that when the fall season starts I'll be able to take a month off writting reviews and STILL not miss an update! Don't know if I can pull it off, but here's hoping I can. See you all on Friday with a new review. Friday, March 11, 2005 0:33 AMHey lo everybody! Sorry for not updating on Monday. I did have the review written, but I forgot to post it. See, I went to see the "Dear Friends...Final Fantasy" concert in San Francisco with my mom (who, despite having never heard any of the music before, loved the show), and I just plum forgot that I had to update my website for all you fine people. So now I have posted my review for "Confidential Confessions Vol. 6." Yes, I have reviews for volumes 3 through 5, and I will post them when the right time comes. No, fans of the series are NOT going to like this review! Just a heads up. On Monday I'll have a new editorial up, and on Friday for a syndicated comic strip collection (my first one I believe). So see you all next week. Saturday, March 5, 2005 1:09 AMAs promised, I am updating today with my review of "Naruto." This one has been being requested by a lot of people since Viz aquired the rights to the anime. And hey, wouldn't you know, with this review posted I have now passed the landmark of writing 100 reviews for this site! In a little more then a year too! I would like to take this moment to thank all of you for continuing to read my reviews and (hopefully) enjoying them, and as long as people continue to read my reviews I'll continue to write them! Thank you very much, and I'll see you Monday with another review (gotta start working torwards 200 right away you know). Friday, March 4, 2005 0:55 AMHey everyone, due to some problems I had yesterday I wasn't able to finish today's review in time. Check back tomarrow for the review. Sorry. Wednesday, March 2, 2005 0:05 AMFor those of you who have come here today on what is usually a dead update day here, I have posted a new editorial in the Editorials section for your reading pleasure. I'll see you all Friday with a new review.
