September 2005

And now for something a little bit different today. Don't worry, I've still got a review to post, but it's an unusual one. If you dare to read something different, go on over and read my review of the unexpected (get ready) "Chip 'N Dale's Rescue Rangers: Of Mice & Mayhem." No, I'm serious, that's the review for today. Read it and I'll be back on Monday for a new review (a bad one, as I think I need to back off of the glowing reviews for awhile, less people think I've gone soft). I've also decided it is time to take down my link for "Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince," seeing as how almost everyone has that book now, so the link is rather pointless. I am now supporting the DVD release of "Chip 'N Dale Rescue Rangers," and will be supporting the release of "Ducktales" in a few weeks also. Got to love classic Disney animation.

Hey guys, I know I said I would update on Friday, but since I missed a few days of schoolwork being sick, I had to make that up and finish my school project. I'll post the school project later on today (just so you can see what it looks like), but in the meantime check out my review of "PVP: At Large." This is the review "PVP" fans have been waiting for me to write (at least it would be if I was posative any of my readers are "PVP" fans).

I'm feeling a bit on the sick side, so I won't be updating tomarrow. Check back Friday for the new review. Sorry.

Well folks, I bet you didn't believe me, but I have my Comic Con report of day one online now, right here. I know, a bit late, and I'm sorry. I'll try to get the last few reports up quicker. For those wondering why you would want to read this now, I offer you these five words: My personal CMX commentary included. Have fun.

MADE IT!!! Phew! I bet everyone here was thinking I wouldn't update today, weren't you? Well, I guess I proved you guys WRONG! Granted it is rather late, and most of you probably won't see this till Wensday, but the point is I still managed to update before the day was over. I'll try to make sure I'm not this late again. My new review is of CLAMP's short "The Lengend of Chun Hyang." Check it out...if you dare.

I kept my promise, and I managed to finish my review of "Doubt!!" for your reading pleasure. I have also temperarly taken down the Comic Con auction link, for the main reason that I'm going to wait until a day or two after Thanksgiving and just have one huge holiday sale. I figured that if there was a time to sell some collectables, it would be at a time when people are buying gifts (and by then I'll need help recovering some XBox 360 cash). However I do want to give you a preview of some of the things you WILL see up for sale come December:

  • "Penny Arcade: You Wouldn't Get It" poster, signed by Gabe and Tycho.
  • Authentic Stan Lee signature on Pow Entertainment flyer.
  • "Kare Kano Vol. 1" book, signed by creator Masumi Tsuda.
  • "PVP" comics, signed by creator Scott Kurtz.
  • "The Complete Peanuts Vol. 3," signed by Jean Schulz, wife of the late Charles M. Schulz.
  • "Bionical Issue 1," signed by creator (name escapes me at the moment).
  • "Bone" comic, signed by Jeff Smith (Note: This is an item that may or may not be listed, as someone is already trying to buy it off me and offering a nice sum of money, so I might have this sold before December).
  • "Trigun" manga promotional poster from Dark Horse, signed by creator Yashiro Nightow.
  • "Penny Arcade: Samuri Tube Showdown" laser cell print, signed by Gabe and Tycho.

And that is just a few of the thing you can expect come December. I also hope to have other inticing items up for sale near the end of the year, but as far as comics go this is what it looks like. And for you "Kare Kano" and "Trigun" fans I can tell you that yes, the signatures are real, because I really did get to meet the creators at Comic Con. I'll have my Comic Con report finished soon so that you can see what they look like. Until then, enjoy the review.

Since it was Labor Day, I completely forgot to update the site with Monday's review. So to fix my mistake, I have uploaded my review of CPM's "Just A Girl" today instead. Now I just need to finish a review for Friday. If I can't finish a new review, I'll dig up my short (and VERY brief) review of "Tokyo Boys & Girls" to post instead. Of course, given the choice, I'd rather not post that review, as it was one of the worst things I've written, and I don't want to use it unless I have to. Hmm...maybe I shouldn't speak, less you guys get interested in it.
